I Believe

Your beliefs are your trust, faith or confidence in someone or something.

At one point or another, we all feel that we just know something to be true despite not having all the facts about the situation. This feeling of truth of knowing the right way to do something is based on beliefs.

Your beliefs are so strong; they'll often cause you to react to situations quickly almost like a reflex. What's surprising is we don't always know how to identify our beliefs and we don't always take the time to dig below the surface and find out what's going on. Why is it so important we understand our beliefs?

Simply because they will impact how you behave and interact with others. Your beliefs also direct your emotions. If you believe something to be right or wrong, that will cause an emotional response for you.

We're hardwired to be driven by three factors:

- Mastery refers to getting better at a task, learning more and becoming an expert.

- Autonomy relates to the freedom to make decisions, decide how tasks are completed, and independently figure out your next steps. - Purpose is working towards a goal that benefits more people than just yourself, feeling rewarded for helping others and working towards a sense of the greater good.

- Being self-aware can enhance confidence and happiness, but it takes an intentional plan to create success. Practice and patience are the application of progress measurement.

How can you set yourself up for success as you embark on a path of developing your self-awareness?

Do you expect success?

Are you putting your plan into action and reviewing the results?

If not, how can you do more of this?

If you are, how can you ensure you continue on this progress path?
